I was working with a business owner recently and he wanted to brainstorm a better way to attract customers.
This is a very common approach, but it is not always the best way to think of a problem. Let me give you an example.
Whatever industry you are in, there is probably a “way” you get customers. You and your competitors generally try and find a way to improve that and hone that idea and process to maximum results.
But what if you took a step back and asked how other industries do it or other ways that have not been applied to your industry.
That’s one reason why it’s good to be part of a mastermind group where everyone is in a different niche. You can often take an idea from outside your industry and apply it to yours.
Basically, there are many ways to the top of the mountain. Sometimes it’s more profitable to try a different way.
